in the Western Algarve
Off
the beaten track, though accessible by car on tarmac roads,
Quinta Pintados provides an ideal location for walking,
bird-watching, star-gazing . . . or just enjoying the natural
and peaceful countryside. For those wishing to get closer to
nature during their stay we've set a side a number of areas
suitable for pitching a tent.
Our
camping area is a terrace in the hillside with stunning views,
surrounded by fruit & eucalyptus trees. Our nearest neighbours
are half a kilometre away, and the road passing our house is
very quiet. It's very much the best of both worlds with good
access yet negligible traffic!
Because
of the high risk of forest fires, no outdoor fires (even camping
stoves) are permitted here. We can however usually offer excellent
vegetarian lunches and dinners (if booked in advance) . . .
or can recommend restaurants within the local area.
Camping
rate: €7 per 24 hours
(Tents NOT provided)
Reductions
in costs are available to guests who help
us on the estate.
Please
note that there are no toilet or shower facilities: latrines
can be dug adjacent to the camping area.
