During
renovations our aim was to bring out and feature it's original
and natural characteristics . . . and we've not only maintained
the significant orchards and vegetable areas, but converted
them to organic terraces.
All
our water comes from springs in the area, held in the pool
which serves as a plunge pool in the summer (if you don't mind sharing the pool with our resident
water boatmen and frogs) . . .as well as an irrigation
tank.
The
en-suite bedroom, formerly the old kitchen, has been
sympathetically converted into a twin bedded room complete with original bread-oven
as a feature:
Camping
is also possible at Quinta Pintados
Situated
on the North-West slopes of Foia - the highest mountain in
the Algarve, the setting is ideal for those who like
to walk or to bird-watch, paint, or write
