Walking
in The Algarve
That
the Algarve isn't yet recognised as a prime destination for
walkers and ramblers came a surprise to us. It's a beautiful
countryside with a wide range of terrain and scenery, from coastal
cliff-tops to marshy river valleys. Away from the developed
south coast it's also SO quite and peaceful with an extensive
network of mountain and forest tracks. With it's excellent 'vacation
climate' this part of Portugal really is ideal for walking holidays.

Quinta
Pintados, with it's 2.5 hectare estate on the North-West
slopes of Foia - the highest peak in the Algarve at 902m - is
ideally situated for a wide range of walks of varying lengths
and severity. Indeed the Sunflower
Landscape's 'Algarve car tours and walks' even includes our
hamlet - Chilrao - in it's walk No 5!
We
are pleased to offer Bed & Breakfast to those exploring
the Monchique, be it by foot, car or mountain bike, in our twin guest
room - with en-suite toilet/shower.
Also
welcome are day visitors looking for a taste of the Serra de
Monchique - we've a range of walks around our land, which include
places designed to enable you to sit and admire the view:
